Agistros is a fantastic beach, located on the northern part of Skiathos, right next to Elias beach. This is a very beautiful and green area with wonderful beaches, 15 km west of Skiathos Town. The landscape on this side of the island is changing and as we move to the north, it becomes wilder and more imposing. The sandy beach with the golden sand is one of the most beautiful on the island. The water is deep blue and as clear as glass, that are typical of Skiathos. The sand does extend into the water although at the far end it is rocky when you get into the water. Agistros is well away from the crowd unlike the more popular beaches, making it ideal for those seeking peace and relaxation. On the beach you will find umbrellas, sunbeds and a beach bar.
It is a bit of adventure of getting to the beach as it is literally off the beaten track. Agistros can be accessed via a 2 km picturesque footpath, through the pine forest of Mandraki or by boat from Skiathos harbor.
