Amazing Greece Team Amoopi beach is a beautiful beach with golden sand, situated on the south east coast of the island of Karpathos. The beach has gorgeous shallow waters and is well sheltered from the Aegean winds. The sea slopes gently and is therefore perfect if you are traveling with children. Because of its golden sand and the blue transparent sea, the beach gets overcrowded in July and August. The beach is equipped with plenty of sunbeds and parasols; however, we advise not to arrive too late, otherwise it will be difficult to find any sunbeds available.
Amoopi actually consists of two beaches, Mikri (Small) and Megali (Large) Amoopi. They both have safe waters and are equally beautiful. Nearby, you can find shops, taverns, fish restaurants and rooms for rent. Amoopi can be easily accessed from all the main towns on the island and is one of those beaches’ worth adding in your bucket list.
