Livadaki, one of Samos most pristine beaches, lies on the northwest coast of the island, 13 km from the island’s capital, Vathi. The beach with the white sand and the shallow, turquoise waters is well-hidden in a lovely cove tucked between rocks. The rocks form a sea strip at the beginning of which there is a small islet. The water stays relatively shallow for a few meters making the beach safe for families with young children.
Livadaki is very popular especially for young people. Due to its small size, it gets crowded during the summer months. It is well organized with a beach bar that offers parasols, sun loungers, drinks and food. It is even possible to borrow free kayaks thing the kids surely will love.
There is a pretty long trek off road to get to the beach and parking is a bit limited if you get there later in the day. At the end of the dirt road there is a small parking space. It is off the beaten track but well worth making the effort to get here.
